“The Perfect Fit”
Short Film and Workshop
THRIVE, an NSF Advance grant, stands for “Towards Hiring, Resources, Inclusion, Value, and Excellence.” The grant team is proud to offer engaging programming to change culture, build support and remove barriers at our institution. We are pleased to offer two opportunities to participate in a workshop for faculty to identify best practices for fostering equity and transparency in search and hiring practices. We will screen a short video called “The Perfect Fit,” which was developed via another NSF Advance grant at NC A&T State University. Then we will discuss reactions to the video, and identify strategies for improved interactions and dynamics among search committee members to ensure successful outcomes.
