Community Building in STEM – Hosted by BSOM

Building community through College partnerships

Faculty gathered last Friday at Brody Commons to network and build partnerships across campus at a Community Building in STEM event sponsored by Brody School of Medicine. This “Pastries & Coffee” event was the fourth event in the Community Building in STEM series introduced by THRIVE@ECU.  Thomas Harriot College of Arts & Sciences along with the Integrated Coastal Programs hosted the first event in this series – an ice cream social – in September 2021.  “Cookies & Tea” was hosted by the Colleges of Education, Health & Human Performance, and Business in December 2021. The Spring Social and STEM showcase was hosted by the College of Engineering and Technology in April 2022.

Faculty who attended were able to learn more about various Brody School of Medicine offices including the following: Brody Women Faculty Committee, Office of Clinical Simulation, Office of Data Analysis and Strategy, Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, and Office of Research and Graduate Studies.
